People who can laugh at themselves are the easiest going people around, and they make for the best partners, and I speak from personal experience. Genuinely compassionate people are the best, people who listen to you and try their best to understand with you. Your life partner should be able to understand your sorrows and feel your pain; your life partner should be someone who always tries putting your shoes on to see what it feels like in them.
You know everything about their history, you know about the psychotic ex, you know about the family issues, you know it all, no one in the world can try and cause problems between you two because you know it all already.
